I feel a personal connection to this special individual as he was the dean of my brother’s yeshiva and I clearly remember his presence at the wedding all those years back.
I have painted three different portraits of Rav Auerbach as commissions. To me I can never get enough of staring at the shine in these holy Rabbanim as I paint and then at the finished product hanging in my house.
Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach Zt’l was born in 1910 in Israel and passed away at the age of 84 in 1995. He was a renowned Rabbi with a great authority in Jewish law as well as serving as the dean of the Yeshiva ‘Kol Torah’ in Yerushalayim.
