A one-off original oil on wood painting is available here.
Another gorgeous Venice piece. How I love capturing the beautiful city of Venice where the colours, reflections and peeling buildings are so breathtaking in its own right. The dilapidated bricks changing colour from both age and water brings a fabulous abstract feel to the painting. Once again, as I deed in my previous painting of the apples, I was captured by the perfect symmetry of the three windows and moved by the slightly damaged middle window. You can almost see the acceptance around it’s ‘disability’ encouraging and embracing. Thinking that in our social life it should be the same. Fixing that window would only destroy the light and beauty that it brings to all its surroundings.
