I arranged this still life with a budding idea in mind. When I looked at my composition I immediately felt it. That glass ball fits in perfectly with all the apples; the size, the shape and the way it’s seemingly content in its surroundings. Yet it is glaringly obvious that in fact it is very different. That’s us throughout life. We look the look, we play the part and we stick to those we’d like to be associated with. This painting encourages difference and acceptance of all types to sit in your ‘bowl’. Furthermore it symbolises the way G-d loves us all equally with importance.
