Glorious Legacy – Original
A picture is worth a thousand words”. But not just mere words in this case. These magnificent beauties from the Iraqi synagogue hold scrolls of meticulously handwritten words which has served as the Jewish nations life source through thousands of generations. As ‘people of the book’, we will always strive to live by these great words, drawing courage and strength from them through the good times and the bad. With each opening of the ark in synagogue, I am taken aback by the splendour that meets my eyes. My breath catches every single time from the physical artistry but even more so from the spiritual richness. It was such a pleasure capturing a small element of this beauty on canvas.
