Hava is an accomplished artist- she has a fine eye for detail and will work on a portrait until she is completely satisfied with the result. When being commissioned a painting of a specific rabbi - she collects pictures of him and studies his facial expressions / skin tone etc which results in a true to life portrait. I am most impressed with her portrait of R’ Shloime Zalman Auerbach.

We treasure this outstanding and delightful painting, a mesmerising scene of a small side canal in Venice. With the frame also fully incorporated, the peaceful scene is so real, yet so still. This painting captures a rare site, Reb Shlomo Zalman zt"l signing Tanoim at an engagement party in Jerusalem. The detail of his face and beard is truly amazing. Very authentic! It also shows how particular he was and focused when filling out a document. Very well expressed by the artist. We saw a Chava Sebbag painting at a gallery that we fell in love with. Unfortunately someone had bought it, but we commissioned a new similar piece and the whole process from start to finish was such a pleasure, and when we picked up our new painting, we were blown away how beautiful it was. Hava is a very talented lady- we were thrilled with the beautiful picture of the kotel that she created for us even altering the original colouring to match our room! She was also a pleasure to deal with.

I'm absolutely delighted to be writing this testament to Hava Sebbag's incredible talent. I commissioned a black and white portrait of the Leshem for my husband's birthday. Hava's customer care was second to none. Hava listened to what I asked for and then advised me on size and exact colouring. She checked in with me every step of the way showing me sketches as she created her masterpiece. When the final product was finished it took breath away. If you look at the portrait from afar you can't believe it isn't a person looking right at you and if you look at it close up you can see the tiniest details in the beard, the peyos, the skin, the hair, the light in the eyes. I knew that Hava would be the right person for the job but I never expected to be blown away each time I look at it! It was a pleasure working with Hava and I highly recommend her as an artist!
